Wounded Warriors Program at Pain Management in Wilmington, NC
At Center for Pain Management we believe that we should try to give back to those who have served our country. One of the ways that we are doing that is through our participation in the Wounded Warriors Program (WWP), which is supported by the Interventional Orthopedics Foundation (IOF).
In order to participate in the WWP, the patient must be either active-duty military, retired military, or separated military. Typically, those that have suffered a combat injury or have sustained an injury as a result of military service are given priority in the approval process, which takes place through an application form and submission of a treatment plan for the performance of regenerative medicine procedures from the participating physician.
The services being offered through the WWP at Center for Pain Management include:
- PRP injections in the joints and spine
- Same day stem cell injections in the joints and spine
- Platelet lysate injections
Although we at Center for Pain Management believe strongly in the WWP program, and will do everything to help the approval process along, we are not able to communicate directly with the IOF selection committee that approves funding for patients on a case-by-case basis.
